At Orchard House we don’t just take a holistic approach to our clients, we also ensure we take a responsible approach to our business and work to limit its environmental impact. Unless expressly asked otherwise by our clients, we conduct all of our business electronically to minimise the amount of paper we use.

We try to ensure that when we travel to a client meeting, we meet with as many clients as possible in the locale and follow up with meeting notes using email rather than paper.
Our team takes social responsibilities seriously and helps within the community in a number of ways:

Community First Responders – Mike Shepherd is a fully qualified Community First Responder, giving up his spare time to respond to medical emergencies within his community.

Mike Shepherd is heavily involved in the Court of The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, one of the oldest Livery Companies in the UK.  The Livery raises significant sums for charities and pays bursaries to apprentice blacksmiths to help them with their study costs. They also offer an awards structure so that blacksmiths can show their clients that they have progress to higher standards than the basic college diploma.

Orchard House has spent time working with the Lord Mayor of London’s office within his financial literacy initiative for schools where a member of the team mentors a class on entrepreneurial days. The schools are more often than not in north and east London.
