CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Orchard House we don’t just take a holistic approach to our clients, we also ensure we take a responsible approach to our business and work to limit its environmental impact.

Unless expressly asked otherwise by our clients, we conduct all of our business electronically to minimise the amount of paper we use.

We try to ensure that when we travel to a client meeting, we meet with as many clients as possible in the locale and follow up with meeting notes using email rather than paper.

Our team takes social responsibilities seriously and helps within the community in a number of ways:

Medmenham Runners Club – An annual 10 mile and 3.5 mile fun run which donates all proceeds to local charities, with the organisation and marshalling provided by Orchard House.

Community First Respondsers – Mike Shepherd is a fully qualified Community First Responder, giving up his spare time to respond to medical emergencies within his community.

Orchard House staff help children aged 3–14 with English and maths in a local Kumon centre.

Members of the Orchard House team are heavily involved in the Court of Blacksmiths, one of the oldest liveries in the UK (www.blacksmithscompany.org.uk) as well as the National Hertitage Ironwork Group (www.nhig.org.uk)

Orchard House has spent time working with the Lord Mayor of London’s office within his financial literacy initiative for schools where a member of the team mentors a class on entrepreneurial days. Reports on these days can be found below:

Make your mark, report 1, report 2.
